Anyone else smell fascism wafting through the air?

"Hold right there! She's under arrest. Stay right there. Back up! Back up! "

Another officer: "Anyone who crosses this line you'll be under arrest so don't do it." (This was an open invitation by the police for all to cross their fucking line but, sadly, it was lost on the somnambulists present.)

Below is an excerpt from the arrest of Demoncracy Now! journalist Amy Goodman.

While the "Spirit of '76" is seemingly absent in this corpse of a nation, I'd like to thank Minnesota's Ramsey County Sheriff's Department for tickling the brain cells of sleeping Americans with their brazen arrest of Amy Goodman late this afternoon. It is actions such as their's that cross the line.

NOTE: Amy Goodman has been released. No word on her producers, if they have also been freed or renditioned to another country for further questioning.

They did pre-emptive raids on peace march organizers the day before. Warrants, SWAT teams, seizure of computers, journals & charged with intent to incite riot. Entered people's homes with assault rifles drawn. Ordered everyine on the ground & handcuffed them, while they searched & seized.
A Police state. The repugs have a reputation of only inviting those who agree to their events, but this is over the top. MSM AWOL from any reporting on this stuff.... but railed on China for not allowing displays of dissent.

war = peace
freedom = slavery
democracy = fascism

The First Amendment was shredded some time ago and then trampled on by the Bush administration so it's no wonder the Republican Convention would be "secure." Afterall, there may be terrorists in the protesting masses. I plan to watch Democracy Now tonight for sure.
