"There is no telling to what extremes of cruelty and ruthlessness a man will go when he is freed from the fears, hesitations, doubts and the vague stirrings of decency that go with individual judgment. When we lose our individual independence in the corporateness of a mass movement, we find a new freedom- freedom to hate, bully, lie, torture, murder and betray without shame and remorse. Herein undoubtedly lies part of the attractiveness of a mass movement." ~Eric Hoffer
"Which is precisely what probably scares the shit out of the Bush regime, i.e., once Americans realize it was Bush policies that were not to their benefit, but to their extreme detriment, that Paraguay, or any place on Earth, will not provide enough distance for their safety from the angry swarming ruck seeking revenge." ~Dada
It's difficult for president Bush to go anywhere outside the U.S. without exposing himself wherever he speaks publicly, to lay himself bare for all to see (save for many Americans) his self-righteous sanctimony.
But while in route to Beijing, Bush managed to scold China for its violations of human rights and detention of political activists and dissidents; demand of Pyongyang, North Korea, it disable its weapons; tell the Russians to halt its air attacks on, withdraw its forces from, and respect the sovereign rights of the nation of Georgia.
But after doping the world with a good dose of hypocrisy, Bush was finally able to 'press the flesh' once in Beijing among his own people, i.e., the American athletes, as he is seen doing here with the U.S. Olympic women's beach volleyball team, Misty May-Treanor, left, and Kerri Walsh !
