Reminder to president Bush

A person who won't read has no advantage over one who can't read. : Mark Twain

Now Dada the King has Laura read to him every night- she even explains the Big Words to him...does that count?

You mean like second graders readin' "My Pet Goat" to 'im while people were leaping from the 100th floors of the World Trade Center? Same thing I suppose. But I'm not sure if it counts for anything.

Not only can't he read, he can't talk worth a shit either. Last night one of Bill Maher's guests (Graydon? from Vanity Fair) remarked that the reason Bush addresses complicated subjects as if he's talking to 3-yr olds is because that's the why those issues were explained to him!

And has anyone else noticed the insoucient flourish with which he flips those speech pages lately? First you'll see each page must be in extremely large type cuz he carefully enunciates his way through them in 2 or 3 sentences tops. Has his eyesight totally deteriorated or? Then he grabs hold of the page & flips his wrist manfully wrestling it over as if he's really accomplished something while he (once again) practically dares someone to call him out on it. Ugh! D.K.

D.K.! Watching Bush day before yesterday, I remarked to my wife, "Ooh, you should see the way he flipped the page he just finished reading from--such pride and authority."

I'd seen him to that some months ago. I don't know if he does that all the time; we just don't get to see him flippin' a page that often, or it's a manifestation of messing with his drug dosages, but I know it gave me comfort knowing we're in the hands of such authoritative leadership.

don't be silly...that's the hand of god working through his servant flipping those pages...that's why it's so authoritative and grandiose...
