Bush resigns!

No doubt this will be making wide distribution around the internet. Hopefully, for some of you, you will see it here first. This came to us via an intercepted radio transmission from a parallel Universe. (One, where, I secretly wish I lived.)

sigh.....a girl's gotta dream right?

I'm just glad for the little banner "Cheney begins prison term" because otherwise our national nightmare might just be beginning. That said, impeaching Bush is still a good start IN ANY UNIVERSE. D.K.

dada said...

hey "guys"....man, you make the point D.K. No way I wanna take Bush out of office unless Cheney's being impeached along with him. (Course, I'm not sure how much Bush has control over any of this--this may be the Dick Head's government, huh?)

enigma4ever said...

but the Impeachment process would be easier if Dick is already in prison....sigh...

dada said...

absolutely, e4e...let's see...and if successful (Bush's impeachment) who would that leave next in the succession line if Big Dick's in the pen?

Would it be Kucinich? (Remember, we're talking "parallel Universe" here.) ((Well, I can DREAM, can't I?))

Anonymous said...

Hah, I like Kucinich (a lot), but in MY parellel universe, the '94 Republican Revolution never took place, therefore Tom Foley (of Washington) would still be Speaker of the House & next in line. AND I think an appropriate prison cellmate for Big Dick is Mike Tyson. Let's put little George in with Saddam & see what happens, maybe they'll fall in love. For Big George (sr), I think his years with Barbara & her beautiful mind can count toward his life sentence. D.K.

parallel universe...we are talking extreme fantasy right? well then it would have to be RUSS..... ( and Kucinich would get his Office of Peace.....)

sigh......( and in my fantasy I would work at the Office for Peace and Russ would need consulting on Medical issues and want a nurse on His Special HealthCare Task Force....and I could wear jeans to work everyday and bring my dog with me....)

And don't anyone wake me....or there will be foul language spewing...I am having too much fun with this....

e4e, can we name Obama for VP in your universe (sigh)? What about Amy Goodman for Sec of State? You can be HHS, if I can be Treasury Sec, so I can redistribute the wealth. RFK Jr for EPA director? Morris Dees for Atty General? Dada needs to review resumes & nominate himself for a position. D.K.

enigma4ever said...

Obama as VP...OMG....we have found the ticket....
and you want Treasury...done...
and Amy is in Sec of State....done. ( they love her abroad)
Morris Dees for Atty General- done ( another man that makes my heart stop...)
RFK or Gore ??? for EPA..that is a tough one.
( oh and I can't decide if I want DHHS or FEMA- don't laugh- I am great in Disasters....and I would love to kick that pencil-dick Chertoff and his damn sneaky little mustache out the door... hmm, I think I want FEMA)
Dada: Animal Welfare ?......
Conyers + Kennedy= SPECIAL INVESTIGATIONS AND OVERSIGHT

UN Ambassador= Clinton..
Maine Friend:???? ( Citizen Rights? new office?)

The Patriot Act would be repealed straight away- period.
Gitmo abolished
Murtha would be in charge of troop withdrawl
Criminal Proceedings would be initiated re.Katrina and the War.

hmmm...we seem to be on the track of a new form of government...benevolent dictatorship by bloggers...with enigma and D.K. setting up the infrastructure in strict accordance with the Constitution and appointing their successors as they will...

reminds me of "english bob's" spiel about governments from the movie "Unforgiven"...(to paraphrase) "who could shoot the queen? your hand would tremble at the royal majesty"

and yes, bush can't be impeached until cheney is in prison; this government is HIS doing and the inmate would be left running the asylem outright in the absence of dubya!

Anonymous said...

Hey, this is fun! How about Gore for Secretary of Interior (does that dept include EPA so he & RFK Jr can work together) ?

UN Ambassador Clinton (um, Bill, right)? That's perfect!

Make Murtha Sec of Defense where he can supervise troop withdrawal AND true int'l defense. He's older, so needs a strong deputy secretary. How about one of those returned Iraq vets like Paul Hackett?

Hummm, I've always thought of Chertoff as "weasel-man" but maybe enigma knows something I don't. Still he's so weasely, Bush must have had him in mind with his man-animal hybrid comment. Let's send him off to one of those ghastly research labs to be sure. Stick him with needles & dissect his ass. Bill "cat killer" Frist, too.

If Dept Homeland Security can emcompass Health & Human Welfare AND FEMA, Enigma can have it all. Who's to gainsay your heart's desire in this parellel universe?

George Soros for Fed Reserve Chairman? And let's combine that dept with Treasury so we can coordinate domestic & foreign monetary policy.

I nominate Dada for "Chargez de Affaires Veteran" (forgive my horrid pidgin french). Boy, that will be a tough job now, helping all those hearts & minds & broken bodies.

Maineiac, were you implying English Bob's remark was somewhat sarcastic and that you would do the honor if required? If so, I bow to the superior man (can't help it, got irish sedition in my blood). And would a revived Super Fund clean-up interest you?

Let's think of something special for John Edwards & Barbara Boxer. Love them both.

Well, as enigma said, a girl can dream, right? D.K.

enigma4ever said...

Hackett : In charge of VET affairs ( and damage) he could work with Dada.
Cindy Sheehan: VET Family Administrator- to make sure that they are dealt with in a fair humane manner.

Murtha: Put him charge of Troop removal:Iraq cause the Brass there support and trust him.

WESLEY CLARK: Defense Mop Up....

Ohoh I LOVE the Gore RFK arrangement-Excellent

Soros: Done

Dada's position: Done

George Clooney and Bill Moyers: In Charge of Media and Journalism Restoration Program ( meaning that they get to provide the Enema for the Orwellian Propaganda that we have been experiencing...)

Edwards: Poverty Laison
Carter: would work with Edwards....
(and Elizabeth could set up the health component and the three of them could continue to work on trying to salvage NOLA....)
Oprah: Conscience Dept.

Maine Friend: We still need to know what Position we can create for your talents and energies...???

New RULES: casual wear JEANS and dogs at work...
and NO Lobbyists ALLOWED....

So whatcha think ....DK and Dada- you both added some beautiful pieces....sigh...

Anonymous said...

e4e, in order to create a more perfect union: Hackett & Wes Clark, perfect, perfect! But we still need a Secretary of Defense.

Excellent post for Cindy Sheehan, might make her smile again to mete out a little justice there.

Clooney & Moyers (with enemas in tow) ... now that's thinking smart, love it. Edwards (x2) & Carter, too ... but what to do with their talents after poverty is eradicated?

Patrick Fitzgerald for FBI Director? Elliot Spitzer to investigate illegal lobbyists & the congresspeople who love them?

And yes, casual wear everyday REQUIRED, anything more formal to be optional only after 6PM. Hummm, dogs ... can we train them to chase away lobbyists? D.K.

Okay, okay....I've enjoyed reading some of the results of the brainstorming coming out of the new administration resulting from that most tragic Faux-TIME magazine cover.

Coming from an alternative Universe, your suggestions are inspiring.

But, as much as I've been honored at the suggestion for where you might "stick me" in the nascent administration, I have to say, despite the honor at the mention of my name for anything, I am not open to, nor running for anything. In fact, quite the opposite is the case: I'm running from EVERYTHING!

More on that in my blog for today, hopefully before the clock strikes 12 midnight.

But if--just if--we really had the power to elevate people to positions of control, I could see some interesting possibilities. First of all, I'm reluctant to allow anyone with previous experience inside the beltway to hold any position of public service, preferring instead the likes of Cindy Sheehan--someone who's experienced first hand the consequences of meglamaniacweaklingmotherfuckingbastards who killed her son and the sons and daughters of a couple thousand other American families.
I think it's time to turn the wheel over to women of strength and I'm not talking about a Hillary or Condoleezza who try to emulate men who have sooo successfully screwed things up, by growing "juevos" like those dumbassholesumbitches.

No, women like Cindy, Medea Benjamin, Amy Goodman, Julia Butterfly Luna Hill, Molly Ivins, Katrina vanden Heuvel, Arundhati Roy (oh wait...she's not a citizen--oh wait, that doesn't matter, who's the governor of California?), Susan Sarandon, Amy Domini, and exceptions to the "inside-the-beltway-rule": Barbara Boxer, Cynthia McKinney, Barbara Lee and others.

I guess a few men would be nice too. Too bad the following are dead: Bobby Kennedy, Paul Wellstone, Huey P. Newton, Che Guevarra and Marcel Duchamp (always, we need a little "Dada")

Those are just my suggestions. It's not all inclusive so much as all reclusive.

See, dada, the campfire is still flickering, enough for s'mores & wild turkey anyway. And you may not run, nor accept if nominated, but MIGHT be drafted! You mentioned some interesting non-beltway people (DuChamp to head a funded NEA?) & that gave me the courage to mention an incomplete idea about the Ghost of Hunter Thompson to "straighten out" Bush's medicare drug plan. I was thinking it might be inappropriate & misunderstood. However, he's only a ghost & how much worse, really, could he mess up that debacle? D.K.

here we have nominated a fine government for our alternate universe, with the best and the bravest at each position...I am politically illiterate, and don't know much about many of the people whose names have been dropped here, but I trust the political acumen of the people who would form this government...

i suppose i might do well as the director of a revitalized resource and energy conservation program, with a charge to institute nationwide materials recycling, perhaps find a way to turn all that thrown away plastic back into oil, and make economically viable all the alternate energy sources that are available...I apologize again for being so out-of-it politically, but whatever happened to the Department of Energy, anyway???

D.K...I had to think a bit about whether "english bob" was being sarcastic...and I think not...he may have been a cowardly and callous killer, but I credit him with being civilized enough not to be a political assassin...

dada, since this is an alternate universe of our making, I choose to think that you would run if nominated and serve if elected (or conscripted , if necessary)

enigma4ever said...

Dada: you don't have to run for anything- this was the Administration and Task Forces That DK and I were helping Pres. Russ set up... ( and you will note we appointed ourselves to cherry positions- we just didn't want to leave you out...)and I should point out that you could work from home with editor and wife by your side ( as well as your fine service vehicle). Only a hnadful would have actually be in DC...

And I see that you appropriately named the SOB's - bless you....Cindy would appreciate our new words...

Maine Friend- you definently could be in charge of conservation....excellently choice...and yeah., the Energy Dept??? hmm, that would be outsourced to The Halliburton Thugs of KBR ? who knows....

DK; so far all of your selections are right on....

and Dada...yeah I miss Bobby Kennedy...esp.now...
he would never have put up with these bastards...
( my son is named Robert....for some special reasons)

maineiac, I hope I'm thinking of the right movie you quoted from. I'm not much of a Clint Eastwood fan, but love John Cleese & if I'm remembering correctly, he was English Bob? If so, I didn't really think he was sarcastic, just had an odd sense of honor. But as far as being the superior man (to whom I bow), well, I always understood King Henry (II?) was not being facetious when he said (to his strongest knights) will no one rid me of this troublesome priest? But it's nothing I advocate, just so we're clear on that. It may take some strong tonic, but I don't think heads need to actually roll (yet). I still have high hopes & dreams for this Nov & again in 2008. And you have some excellent ideas for energy re-use there right off the bat that would qualify you to work with RKF Jr, so now I'm jealous! D.K.

D.K. I really had to chuckle at your incredible ability to tip-toe around the greater mayhem that must be going on inside your mind.

It reminds me a lot of my own. Of the titillating thoughts and imagery therein that make me smile in ecstasy. An ecstasy I can only share with the most intimate of friends and family in darkened places that have been first swept of listening devices and wiretap gadgets.

So I knew from where you were coming. I live there too! "Just so we're clear on that!"

some_maineiac said...

ahhhh, no, D.K., "english bob" was played by Richard Harris, who you may remember from a role in that excellent "noble savage" movie "A Man Called Horse"

but you're right, the "Unforgiven" movie was about honor, and the "english bob" character had an odd sense of that quality...in fact, all the characters in that movie, especially the women who inspired the plot, displayed different interpretations of what honor, or the lack thereof, means...

amd I love Eastwood's lifelong screen persona as an honorable man...an "avenging angel" seeking justice by whatever means necessary...a vigilante and an outlaw to be sure, but I think his characters are true to this quoted lyric from Dylan...

"to live outside the law, you must be honest"

OK, maineiac, you've discovered I can't tell these old english and/or irish actors apart! not really ... somewhere I saw a Western film with John Cleese wearing a big black top hat, but it's obviously not "Forgiven". And how could I forget wonderful Richard Harris? Of his later movies, I like to recommend "Wrestling Ernest Hemingway" (from early 90's) where he & Robert Duvall are two old guys down in Florida and well, it was just a beautiful small film.

I loved seeing Clint getting back to his roots with Unforgiven. I was always a fan of his earlier spaghetti westerns, but lost him in the Dirty Harry, Orangutan, Bridges of Madison County stuff. I finally finished Stephen King's Dark Tower series last year & yes, young/old Clint is the perfect "Gunslinger" (my hero).

And dada, yes those thoughts are very entertaining (torquemada-inspired though they are) at least in my mind. A small streak of revenge & just retribution for evil, eh? D.K.

some_maineiac said...

hey, D.K., thanks for the movie recommendation...duvall is another actor whose work I generally admire, and the title sounds intriguing...

and i'm not a fascist about eastwood, or any of my favorite films, i agree with you, most of the dirty harry sequels were re-hashes of a tired theme and he's no comedian either!

i kind of liked "the bridges of madison county", even though it's not in my eclectic film library...it's the romantic in me, I guess...

Clint is interesting now though...he has a Home down in Carmel- and there he has his studio where he supports music projects and art projects and also movie projects- he sits and reads scripts and then movies he works on there at his home- rewriting, editing etc. Million Dollar Baby- he did the work there- the editing and the music...

He also has a Hotel and Mission where he helps people get back on their feet and find work..etc. He also has set up Drug Rehab Centers- he truly is a good guy and Gives Back to his Community.

( When we were in California- we lived not far from where he lived- and ran into agents and editors that knew him- they wanted to take my book over to him......hmm, but the enigma was a big chicken...)
