Dada enjoys a little outrage!

"Now if I ruffle some feathers and make some people mad, so be it. I don't care. My people are more important to me then their bottom line. And that is my bottom line. ...

"Enough is enough!

"Now, as far as EPA, OSHA, NOAA, BP and the federal government, everyone of 'em is in collaboration with one another. That comes from someone at the top of NOAA. That's the kinda people I've been talking to. That came from someone at the top NOAA, that they're all in collaboration with BP!

"Are you serious? Who do these people work for? I thought these were our agencies to protect our better interests, our world, our Earth. our lives....what's going on here? Are we that dependent upon these banks to just roll over and let them poison our world? And our people in it? This is unacceptable."

"The bottom line here is, if the country does NOT stand up and say, "No more!" we must take action, we cannot sit back..."

~ Kendra Arnesen, a Venice, LA local who was granted a security clearance to see it all. Herein she describes the horrors of the front lines and behind scenes workings of the BP Gulf Oil Spill Catastrophe.)

Wow! That is some compelling testimony this little lady belted out. As this gusher went on & on & Tony Hayward got his face in the camera saying "we will make this right, all valid claims will be honored", my BS-o-meter went into the red zone.
Problem is, Tony, Ol Chap, is you can;t undo this kind of damage. I've been keeping my eye on the Fish & Wildlife posting, the longer the spill goes on, the numbers on this chart soar.
As of June 27:
1128 Birds dead
429 Turtles dead
51 Mammals including dolphins, dead

These are the reported/known cases. some fish/wildlife are dying out at sea and unaccounted for. If they die, and something eats them, that something is going to die too.

It appalls me that burning is considered a "clean up" method. Spewing toxic black smoke in the atmosphere does not equal a cleaning up. This goes beyond the greedy myopic bunch running this show... we have international responsibility to not increase carbon emissions or trash the earth's water.
Don't get me started on the chemical dispersant, meant to be used on top of the water. I fear it's chemical component to help sink oil underwater may wind up choking out the oxygen needed for underwater life.
Kill the bottom of the food chain & create a chain reaction.

It seemed obvious to me, between the cost of cleaning, reimbursing, so many lawsuits, and $20 billion loss of livelihood fund. $2.4 billion spent on the spill-- don;t know how much of that is drilling so-called "relief wells" to try to tap into the well nearby- but there is no guarantee that will work- after all, it's never been done before at this depth.

Ponies & balloons indeed.
The speaker said Where do we usually see ponies & balloons?
The circus.

Why is the president dicking around with a Reagan appointee Judge saying no moratorium on deep water drilling?

Does not the EPA or the Coast Guard or any number of regulatory agencies have the ability to at least not *do more harm* w deep water exploring or drilling?

Why is a judge with the big fat big oil portfolio and a clear conflict of interest allowed to even rule on such a case?

Something stinks here, and it's not just all those dead animals.

I join you in your outrage.
