Christmas eve report

Hope everyone had a nice Christmas eve's day. Editor Sam's ended pretty much as it started. Just as he had slept in in the a.m., he conked out early in the p.m. But after the all-day anticipation of the presents and the excitement of opening 'em, his exhaustion was understandable.

I had my own excitement earlier in the day when I discovered the coffee press I had placed on a white plate left a stain that was no doubt the image of God's embrace of the Virgin Mary at the very moment of the immaculate conception!

It was a remarkable likeness of that event, if you dare to imagine it, and I set that plate aside intending to photograph it, share it here. It occurred to me I might also sell admission tickets to view it with its eventual sale on E-bay or in a Southeby's auction.

Sadly, I got distracted. Forgot the photo and the plate ended up getting washed. And, "Damn!", though I lost what was a potential goldmine, it was a nice reminder nonetheless of what Christmas is supposed to be all about, I guess.

Christmas is all about clean plates??? LOL! Sam is really into the spirit of the traditional "settling in for a long winter's nap".

Sorry about your lost opportunity for fame and fortune. You win some, you lose some.

Gotta get up @ 4 am to take Mr. Ramblings to the airport.

I think Sam was showing the appropriate reaction to a coffe-stained plate. He doesn't care about a lost fortune. Now, I'm wondering what "God's Embrace of the Virgin Mary" immaculata might look like.

Fran: Oooh, 4 a.m. wake-up to catch a plane. Hope all went well. Is he off to visit family?

Deke: "wondering what "God's Embrace of the Virgin Mary" immaculata might look like."

Ooooh, be creative (and imaginative) as you like. It was very obvious what I was seeing, i.e., a pretty graphic graphic.

ackkkk! a porno plate? oh wait, perhaps that is my interpretation of a holy event. But then, all those supposed virgin mary images just look like elongated triangles with rounded points to me. Interpretation is all in the mind, it seems.
