Hoodoos you love?

About this time 5 years ago, I got lost on the streets of the City of Rocks, NM.
Fortunately, the traffic wasn't too heavy. I eventually found my way out.

I look at this photo and I expect to see Roadrunner and Wily Coyote to come zippping around the corner....

Thanks Dada, now I know what song to have in my head next time I go to Bryce (the hoodoo capital of my area)! Never been to nearby Goblin monument in UT, but I think it looks more like your City of Rocks.

yeah, Enigma, those roadrunners are everywhere around these parts, but they are way too fast for Wile E. Coyote. They are particularly funny when they stop & shake their tails at you (always from safely out of range; if you make a move toward them, they are WHOOOSH GONE)!

Off Thread: You have outdone yourself over at GRP my friend. Very well done. I was gasping for air when I finished reading your commentary. The editor needs to rethink his unswerving and unthinking koolaid admiration of the kid in presidential politics. The only problem for us is who's left to belief in and vote for. Maybe no one, which leaves us as students of politics and free to use our first amendment rights to hammer governmental actions and mistakes. "Don't blame me, I didn't vote for _______."

DK:::
I have actually never seen a roadrunner...I would love to see one...for some reason when I look at this photo I have the song " Horse with No Name" stuck in my head....so they are really faster than the coyote ?

oh well....

just checking on you dada...
( after my cussing fit..on the healthcare post......make sure you are okay..)

enigma: (deep breathing, BP returning to "livable" levels) Thanks for your concern. I'm better now, yes, TY!

I have to apologize re the date on this photo. While the file says 5 years ago this August, I KNOW it's far, far older than that. That's because this photo was taken on our first digital camera. One of those Sonys that recorded images on a 3.5" diskette! (How cool was that? The coolest, or so I thought at the time.)

Re roadrunners, E4E. Every time I see one, I feel blessed. Most often it's for just a fleeting moment, but it's as uplifting as catching a glimpse of the Virgin Mary in the clouds, or seeing the L.A. Angels in the World Series. (Or at least how I imagine that would be.)

The Angels in the series...now that would be something....I loved how you described that...wonderful...

me I am just looking for Buddha on the Toast ;-)

Whoo-hoo. Thanks to eProf's comment above, I am newly exuberant after a visit to Grassroots Press and a pass thru your comment there, Dada. Hey, that's cool to see the three of us all there on one non-Blogger page. Anyone else care to join us?

enigma: For Pete's sake, if you ever find Buddha on Toast, don't eat it! You can probably sell him on e-bay for a tidy sum.
