Today's quote of the day comes from president Bush illustrating to us all that we must never forget serious problems between Israel and Palestine always have a lighter side. Here, joking about Israeli checkpoints, Bush quipped:
“You’ll be happy to know, my whole motorcade of a mere 45 cars was able to make it through without being stopped but I am not sure if that happens to the average person.”
(Source: Democracy Now! via president Bush, of course.)

About the voice that supposedly originated from those Iranian speedboats acting provocatively towards Bush's navy recently in the Strait of Hormuz that said ominously to our fleet, "I am coming to you," and moments later, "You will explode after a few minutes:"
As we have now learned (well, I don't know for sure if CNN or MSNBC covered this - they were busy covering the murder of a pregnant Marine) the Pentagon is now denying those speedboats as the source of those threats we all heard.
Well, I was just wondering, is it just me, or did those threats sound a lot like vice-president Cheney speaking with a bad accent through a hollow tube with wax paper over one end?

of Watergate Summer here......
Poor Dick....no one took his motoboat threats seriously....maybe he will have to set his office on fire again....
I think Dubya should get his drunken ass home where he can play his war games on his nitendo and have his jackdanieladdled brain all to himself....
it gets more dangerous by the day to have this neoconal warmongers malingering in OUR White House.....
( and I love how Rovian Antics have also entered the DEM race.....Rove supports Hill- aint that special...and we were worried he was working for Romney..oye....His article in the WSJ was a mindblower...)
I want OUR Country back..and preferably before Bush gets another war started....
( hey his Surge is going soooooo well that he did not even stop in for a midnight pee visit...)
( ps, Watergate Summer is still up- I just had to get another email address..and avatar...but it is still me)
The Bush quote says it all, George lives in another world. How insensitive- considering all the horrific things that have happened at checkpoints....
the just released captive Italian journalist was leaving the country & the checkpoint people opened fire & her bodyguard was shot to death, a pregnant Iraqi woman gunned down, wreaking havoc & hell in Iraquis lives, and he gloats about how easily his 45 car entorage cruises on through.
Too bad he did not get *normal* Iraqi treatment... body search at gunpoint, thrown to the ground,
yelling orders at him in a foreign language, he did not understand. Maybe even shipped off to Gitmo for 4 years w ni habeus corpus protections or right. After all Dick says they have everything they
need there in the tropics.
shaking my head - sigh...i wish i could wake up from this nightmare
