With "blood" on her hands an in-your-face Code Pinker, Desiree Anita Ali-Fairooz, shouted "War criminal!" to secretary of state Condoleezza Rice before a house committee hearing Wednesday.
Rice, during the brief confrontation, proved deserving of the Chevron oil tanker previously bearing her name during this rare public display of her hull of steel and hold full of oil.
I understand the meeting chairperson had them throw out ALL code pinkers from the room, regardless of their behavior. The Reich wing is in full swing. You can see though, that Condi is affected by this protester.
Aaah yes, our very own very calm oil tanker ship of state. This kind of response usually takes some practice. I wonder if Condi's been similarly confronted before, here or maybe overseas? Just cuz we don't see it on the "news" doesn't mean it ain't happened.
Yes dk- I have seen blood on the hands type demos here in our town locally, also someone did several cardboard replica flag draped caskets- neither of them get much media play. They like to keep it sanitized. I hate the idea of embedded press- but those who tried to get the real news in Iraq have paid dearly for it. We have a local group who took the humor to the opposite spectrum. They call themselves "Billionaires for Bush" they dress up to the max- tux, gowns, long white gloves, firs, gawdy jewelry, hats, very high society and carry signs like: "How many species do you need anyway?" or "Children don't pay taxes, so why fund them?". "Thanks for paying our share", and "Taxes are not for everyone". They use the twisted, sarcastic humor to make their point. Here is the link to their website- apparently they are a national organization- Photo gallery: http://www.billionairesforbush.com/photos.php
