It's nice of the New York Times in an editorial yesterday to warn us Big Dick cheney is determined to get the U.S. sucked into a shooting war with Iran.

I've just one question. Why the turn around, Times? Why not 4, 5, or 6 years ago in the lead-up to the Iraq war when, instead of investigative reporting in search of truth, the Times gave us war propaganda fed them by the government as truth based on intelligence.

Hearing this, Truthout concludes, "We are in greater danger....every day that Congress does not confront the monstrous malignancy in the office of the vice president in particular."

But when in the past 6 1/2 years has the congress failed to give the president and Big Dick cheney whatever they wanted. Congress is not a check, nor a balance. Congress is a rubber stamp.

Cheney's made it clear he wants war with Iran.

Right now Cheney and Condi are in a fight. Rice is actually trying for diplomacy. Cheney has enlisted the help of Donald Rummy (who still has an office and full time staff at The Pentagon) to lobby for the removal and replacement of Rice.

We are poised to strike Iran in a momment's notice.

The media keeps floating these "weapons from Iran found in Iraq" or Afghanistan stories even though Sec. Gates says there's no proof that the Iranian government is involved. There's a lot of U.S. weapons in Iraq and Afghanistan too. I'll bet there's alot of Russia, Chinese, Germany, French, Spanish, and Italian weapons and equipment in Iraq and Afghanistan too.

Still, BushCo is just looking for an excuse, for a made-up smoking gun to attack Iran.

I doubt our nearly defunct Congress could prevent such an attack.
