Requiem for ourselves

(Thanks to Blognonymous for directing me to this story.)

This is a picture taken yesterday showing what can be accomplished by over a thousand people coming together on a San Francisco beach on Saturday, January 6, 2007.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
And this is a picture showing what cannot be accomplished by thousands, or millions, of people coming together to rid the nation of the leeches sucking this nation's life blood.
Not Saturday, January 6, 2007, not tomorrow, not ever!
America: RIP
hmmm, if not thousands or millions, perhaps a tidal wave? what if we formed a human chain across the nation, one that ended right at the gates to the white house?
let's face it, leeches have been around forever. they've adapted & exploited a niche in our world. To get rid of ALL of them would only open up a vacuum for some other parasite to jump in & fill.
We shouldn't allow the difficulty to overwhelm us, though I prefer to concentrate on one or two leeches at a time. And I'm more than ready for Conyers to start the hearings on Leech #1 & #2 now. ~~ D.K.
TSUNAMI BABY!!!!!! BRING IT ON...hmm, I have to go make an IMPEACH AND IMPRISON POST...I am inspired now...
What a GREAT POST...so inspiring , so right...and yup let's Focus on Leech 1 and 2 and let the rest slither into the Investigation Pile....sigh...
hmmm, now I have to go over and give that Frog a big Hug as well...
( Oh, Dada, here is the Thing about the Redhead Posts...I am just trying to let the Fuckers know in DC that they come and take me to Gitmo, cuz I am still going to look smoking in those Orange Scrubs...yeah....NOT....But mostly to let them know that Women can be women but they can still Write and be subversive, and even rude, But definently speak The TRUTH.....I think the Founding Fathers would have appreciated me...I hate how this Administration has put Women and Families back in the 1950's....Now I confess, you were the one that inspired me with the Great Sea Wreck Paintings- so I was on a Quest to find just one that also had a Redhead in it...now look at the painting again...and what do you see - do you see her sitting Very Confident on Wreckage looking out to ???? hmmm,
looks like a Ship in trouble, don't it ?....hehe...see I was giving you a belated Christmas gift and you didn't even know it....We all inspire each other.....when we least expect it ;-)
Enigma: So I went back to look again at that gorgeous redhead. And for the first time, my eyes drifted from her to notice she was seated on a craggy coast, flotsam at her feet, and a ship on the rocks. And I'm imagining, when the surging waves retreat do I read the name "Medusa" on the ship's hide-and-seek bow, there amid the flounder, floundering?
Thank you for having me look at this again--for the first time. Sometimes beauty distracts us from the greater context of the beauty she's within. Do tell, can you share the title of this work and its artist?
Thank you so much for that wonderful Christmas gift! I love it.
Hey Dada...thanks for the mention. It was a great photo, wasn't it. E4E inquired if I was there, but alas I wouldn't head over to Ocean Beach this time of year. Cold...COLD! So...I didn't even know about it until after it happened.
The Painting is called Miranda the Tempest- by someone named Waterhouse ( it was for sale as a poster on Ebay...so I ahem well, kind of "borrowed" it...)
Hmmm, I think I need to do more research on it..thanks....
Hey there Frog Friend-= I am glad that you were not out there freezing...me neither ;-)
( I guess I was thinking that all those people would make it warm...silly me)
