Choosing one's words carefully

On my "The Out of Office Countdown" calendar for 2007 that I received as a Christmas gift, it offers a quote from George W. Bush at the dedication of his Texas gubernatorial portrait four years ago this date.

Reading that now, particularly with Saddam's last moments still so vividly in mind, Bush may want to choose his words more carefully in the future, now that he, himself, is responsible for the death's of two-thirds of a million Iraqis.

On that occasion back on January 4, 2002, Bush thanked his oddience for "taking time out of your day to come and witness my hanging."

Perhaps as he said that, Bush was just having a vision of his future?

Jeez, he said that? It just gets harder & harder to satirize this guy. He does such an excellent job on himself. So, is there ever any vandalism done to his portrait hanging there in TX? You know his wax statue at M. Tussaud's in Vegas has suffered repeated indignities.

Or yes, you may onto something. perhaps he was having another headtalk with his revelating God, a vision in hemp if you will, the stuff of dreams. ~~ D.K.

hhhm "indiginities" you say...are you sure they were not just artisitic corrections...alterations ??

I love the quote...well, well...looks like the calendar may indeed be full of Hidden Wisdom...

E4E, the "indignities" have so far been limited to whapping his statue upside the head, so it topples. This was done on the eve of our Nov victory. Oh & I think have been a few rude notes pinned to his shirt (they do dress the wax). I get a big kick thinking of some poor gambler, losing all his money at the tables, getting roped into doing a family thing on the way out of town, so he walks into Tussaud's ... and well, you can hardly blame him, having to look at a waxy bush on top of everything else. The temptation would be overwhelming.

oh Dada, perhaps he wasn't having a premonition in referring to his "hanging" ... it could've been his usual fartboy juvenile humor, probably said while he pulled at his crotch. I'm just saying, the man is gross! ~~ D.K.

hmm it might have been a premonition- more Voices * from God ? or Jim Beam ? in his head....

But is does give one great inspiration of what we can put on his tombstone one day...
