BAD PIG, BAD! (Or as the French say, "Porc sinistre")

(Note: If you read the following and are dismayed at the disrepect shown for Dick Cheney, relax. Although I would have been similarly disturbed in an earlier time, I have no qualms now. I harbor the same respect for our vice president he holds for me--none! So if that offends you, please wave your flag of faux patriotism elsewhere.)

Imagine being given enormous non-competitive contracts by the Pentagon to perform work in war torn Iraq. And imagine you're a subsidiary of a large company once led by a CEO who is now the vice president of the United States.

Then imagine that audits by the Pentagon's Defense Contract Audit Agency determined that in those contracts your company, Kellogg, Brown and Root, has submitted questionable overcharges to the government amounting to $1 billion!

But TRY to imagine despite $1 billion in suspicious expenses claimed, the Pentagon's top brass ignored auditor's concerns and gave you an additional $70 million in "award" fees for good logistical troop support.

Now flashback to the Republican National Convention last summer. As Medea Benjamin of the peace group Code Pink was being carted off the floor by security past our vice president, she asked Cheney how much money he'd made that day through his former company, Halliburton and it's subsidiaries in Iraq.

To those who blindly support the corruption of this administration as exemplified by vice president Cheney, I say, "Shame!" To those who consider the likes of Medea Benjamin of Code Pink a radical left wing traitor for questioning, I contentiously disagree.

If you are not one of the greed driven power "drunks" in control of a dangerous and debilitating U.S. foreign policy, you are most likely a pathetic, scared individual being exploited by them. And your manipulation by, and support for, these pigs slopping at the public trough, is wasting American's lives, resources and your grandkids' futures at the hands of these bastards.

Today, the deaths of American men and women killed in Iraq exceeded 1,800 for the first time. Thousands of other's lives have been inextricably altered, some for the rest of their lives by the power and greed driven motives of those who now lead us like Cheney. And not that they matter, but try to remember the blood of over 100,000 Iraqis is on the hands of the Bush administration as well.

So as we go forward knowing that another quarter of obscene profits have been recorded by the benefactors of the Bush war sold to us with WMD's, a Saddam--El Qaeda 9/11 connection, or "liberation" and "democratization" of Iraq, know it is all bullshit.

Fly your flags of patriotic delusion, but know the real patriots are people like Medea Benjamin and members of Code Pink who really care for this country and its future. They who are willing to stand up and question the porc sinistre. I wouldn't trade one patriot like Medea Benjamin for 20 faux patriot flag waving dupes blindly supporting Dick Cheney, his Halliburton, its Kellog, Brown and Root subsidiary, our missing $1 billion and their 284% second quarter increase in profits!

rk: I heard those 14 Marines killed today were riding in an amphibious vehicle. I know they do the air, land and sea thing, but where the fuck's the sea in Iraq that they ended up in an amphibious rig? Apparently, to maintain their buoyancy, they're much less armored than an Army Bradley fighting vehicle.

I've enjoyed Give 'em Hell Howard. I guess I can really look forward to the new website seeing as how it'll feature rkrider unleashed! Good luck with it.
