As the spouse of a tennis player, I know first-hand how competitive they are. Facial expressions aside, it is really a mentally hard game trying to beat your opponent into submission.

....jeez where was melanie when GWB was prez, the man who didn't play tennis and so let the WH t-courts rot thus enabling Obama to turn them into BBall courts? (another example of laying a different patina over the sins of the previous prez?)
D.K. Hahaha! How many times each week do I see photos of athletes of all sports (well, ok, golf isn't a sport) with expressions like these?
I just decided to cast these in a Dada mode. And, no, I wasn't being sexist or anything as my wife may have been hinting, it's just that Melanie here was the best I'd seen all week -- really into the moment. Actually, she's really quite a normal looking person otherwise. If we could just keep her away from tennis courts. Her, or photographers, one.
