Dada missed this important story yesterday
on the plaza in downtown El Paso at noon.

I feel a little badly for the GI's pictured here. Trained in all the best offensive/defensive life and death tactics available, to be prepared for anything, yet this day caught with their pants down.

Is this really the kind of photo they want their unit commanders to see? To reveal how they spend their time when off duty, giving testament for a meatless existence?"

Is their blood supply so thin that when it deserts their brains for other parts, their logic shuts down too?

Of course, if these soldiers happen to be vegetarians, I take all of the above back, i.e., I salute them for bravely supporting their convictions publicly!

Well now THATS different!

On the topic of interesting photos, I saw one with 2 gay men at a County courthouse applying for a marriage certificate- he in a tux, the other he in a full on white/fem bridal gown with an elaborate long & face covered veil.
They were waling away from it ,with the groom giving a thumbs down signal. They thought they would see if the State would sanction their marriage/love if they wore traditional garb.

So did this street theatre cause you to become a vegetarian? They say organic tomatoes are better...

just goes to show what the prospect of a little close look-see at some hot babe-on-babe action will do to a man's brains.
it was good theatre though, an excellent meatless performance!

Thanks, Deke, for the VD greeting. I hope everyone else had a very nice day. Ours was great with some very good jazz on the placita in Mesilla, NM followed by a short "pub crawl" and, sadly, some meat.

Because Mrs. dada is vegetarian, I am too -- about 95 percent of the time. (I know, that's totally illogical, but hey, as shown in a previous post here a week or two ago, I'm also a lesbian.)

And, Fran, I suspect there's some latent humor in your comment about organic tomatoes? If so, I didn't get it, but if there was, I liked pondering it. (If there wasn't, i.e., you were deadly serious, I suppose I spent too much time pondering it? I don't know.)

You really scooped me on this 'hot' news, Dada. I'm going to add the Newspaper Tree to my daily internet routine henceforth! (right after I have my salad without dressing.)

Thanks for preparing us for the latest rumor we can expect to be coming out of Casa Puente. (It's getting so we're not surprised anymore at ANYTHING you do!)

Ooops! I meant to say "walking away" not "waling away". That put whole different perspective on that item!

And yes there was an intended double entendre to the organic tomato reference....
continuing with both the salad theme
and the romantic element of this photo.

It makes less sense trying to explain it!

Fran: Thanks -- you did explain it! (I thought your 'organic tomatoes' held more than meats the eye. [Ugh!])

I appreciate your humor. In these difficult times, I think it important that's one asset we never let go of.
