May we represent your interests?

Gassing Greeks. A scene you will likely never see in America

Whoops, sorry! As David Sirota tells us, a Fed report estimates 32,000 more Americans are now losing their homes every three months to foreclosure than would have otherwise because of the bankruptcy law passed in 2005 (with much help from vice president elect, Joe Biden).

Thanks America! Mark Pittam reveals: "The Federal Reserve refused a request by Bloomberg News to disclose the recipients of more than $2 trillion of emergency loans from U.S. taxpayers" because it would reveal "trade secrets" and expose "commercial information" Bloomberg was told. (Note to students of etiquette: This is the proper way to politely tell someone "Go fuck yourself!")

More gas please! Meanwhile in Greece: After a week of ongoing protests against the disparities between the wealthy and the growing class of economically challenged, the Greek government is running low on tear gas. They are desperately seeking more from Germany and Israel.

Fortunately in the U.S.: We have the highest per capita number of tear gas canisters and rubber bullets of any civilized nation. This probably explains much of Americans endless and unquestioning respect for representative government, regardless of whose interests their government is representing.

I learn more worthwhile news in 5 minutes here than in 30 minutes on network news shows.
