Saturday, December 20, 2008: Americans in their annual last minute shopping ritual on this day - retailer's second busiest day of the year - will be scrambling to again honor their prince of peace with another sacrifice of material giving and getting. Christmas 2008 may unwittingly be the wind down, or end, of a timeless tradition while meantime, in the birth land of their savior...
....a convoy of blue-and-white United Nations trucks loaded with food wait for Israeli permission to enter Gaza as Jindiya Abu Amra and her 12-year-old daughter scrounge for the wild grass their family now lives on.
"We had one meal today — khobbeizeh," said Abu Amra, 43, showing the leaves of a plant that grows along the streets of Gaza. "Every day, I wake up and start looking for wood and plastic to burn for fuel and I beg. When I find nothing, we eat this grass."

That sure was a unique and creative action.
Leave it to Bush to have a Yard sale of natural resources before he drags his sorry ass out of office. I never hear anyone ask "what next" in the Bush regime anymore, no one really wants to know.
