Keith's 12/6/07 rant bears repeating: "A president manifestly unfit to serve"

After last Tuesday's press conference and National Intelligence Estimate's revelation
that Iran is not pursuing a nuclear weapons program, Robert Baer in a
Time magazine
article
assures, "Bombing Iran, it seems, is now off the table. There's no other
reasonable take...
" (emphasis Dada's). Baer further states, "the Bush Administration
has finally concluded Iran is a bridge too far."

I sincerely hope that's true, but the key word in all of that is "reasonable." In
light of the growing pile of revelations adding testament to the insanity of this
administration and its ability to manipulate, obfuscate, steal and cheat the truth
to manifest its agenda that makes the entire world less safe, I prefer to remain
more cautious and a little less optimistic. After all, when dealing with irrational
madmen no options are really ever off the table, are they?

In the meantime, Keith's Olbermann's rant on MSNBC this past Thursday night bears
repeating. It's comforting to know if we someday all end up in a dungeon beneath
a Syrian prison for exercising our
right of Free Speech that somewhere in the
system is likely kindred spirits like Keith Olbermann, Medea Benjamin, and Rachel
Maddow, etc.

Thanks for posting KO's special comment from Thursday night's program. KO is, indeed, one of the true "patriots" around these days. And, now comes word that, the Democrats folded on the Iraq spending bill giving the president $50 billion without a timetable AND $11 billion in domestic spending cuts. Then, yesterday, the president says he will veto the entire spending bill, including his no strings attached war bill, because it's not enough for war and too much for domestic spending. The X@#$% Democrats will probably cave on this too. Who, except KO, will stand up to this "worst president in history?"

Democrats!, or as I call them, "republican-lite." Bill Clinton was the best republican president in my lifetime. Sadly, even he was too liberal for the current herd of sheep now claiming that banner.

Today we find out that Democrats on the Intelligence Committees of Congress were the cheerleaders for using torture against suspected terrorists. No wonder impeachment is off the table. Pelosi, et al, would also be found out to be enablers of this corrupt administration. Traitors all!

Amen, eprof, amen! Presently I'm about to embark on "The Madness of George Bush"...a tome, a reading, a book, using the marriage (?) of quantum physics with the finest of humankind's mysticism (with a LITTLE of Karl Jung seasoned in, too!) to indict us all in the manifestation of the madness so prevalent in George Bush.

As much as I try to deny any part in this, I read the daily feeds shoveled me under the bars of my cell from Truthout and Information Clearing House, things like this evening's headlines "CIA photos show torture" or "White House, Press Spinning Iran's Centrifuges" and I curse, shrug my shoulders, maybe bitch about it here on the blog.

And then under the darkness of day's end, I lie in bed wondering if maybe, somehow, I'm part of this greater collective helping to unfold this madness upon the Earth?

p.s. There's an article on Huffington Post this morning that reads something like, "Democrats must admit they have a problem - they're addicted to backing down."
