Love the photoshop work. Particularly like the upside down flag, indicating a Nation in distress. How would this conversation go? Well George, let's talk about the weather. A domestic issue, USA- the homeland. Drought, fires, mass evacuations. I understand the Federal Government is *thinking about* perhpas doing something. FEMA should have been there a few days ago. Please don;t tell me your plan involves taking a vacation break.
fran: believe it or not, Bush didn't see the flag til I made a passing a remark when, pretending I'd just noticed it, said, "What the hell is that?! to which he replied after looking at it, "What?"
(p.s. - Thanks, I "PS'ed" this in Painter. And, no, I don't plan to leave anytime soon, but you ever go thru times when it's really hard to get inspired, so overwhelming is the all the "stuff".)
eprof2: Drats! sorry I missed this as I've only seen El Mariachi once. Thanks for the filming location. I didn't know it was in Ciudad Acuña but after learning this, walked a couple of its streets in photos I found on the web this morning. Guess I should get over to Juarez more often (before passports become necessary to X the border).
cartledge: Whoa! you are truly a man of subtleties as I'm left wondering from your great remark, "Who's the bigger drunk, Bush or me?" (very well said)
Do they call those back handed compliments in the Outback? Just curious. Perhaps, being south of the equator, I was thinking maybe they're referred to as "forehanded" as in, "Good forehand, mate!)
by the way fran...the hardest part about "meeting with Bush" was having to put on a shirt with a collar. Unfortunately, the meeting was shorter than the collar.
dada, no inferences there. In fact you remind me of the kid answering that high school test - given a barometer measure the height of a given building. He offered a range of solutions, like bribing the caretaker with the instrument, lowering the instrument from the roof on string and using its height to triangulate. Looks like you have bush fascinated with your range of possible solutions.
I think bush looks pretty worried about whatever you're telling him. You didn't spill the beans about how badly he's effed up everything he's ever touched, did you? Honestly, you know the man just wants to be loved, errr loathed, errr ...

So --- What did you say to Shrub? He looks like his normal self -- lecturing you about "do it my way or the highway." I hope you gave him an earful!
Nice catch Fran!
El Mariachi was on the tv tonight. You're right, a lot of violence. But, a good picture of the border town, Ciudad Cuña, across from Del Rio, Tejas.
Looks to me like he's asking for hints about getting the lid off the bottle. I'm sure you were very helpful.
