"When the President Talks to God" ~ another Bright Eyes encore. (Thanks to NBC for airing this, I'm sure they didn't mean to.)

I'll say it again. I LOVE IT & I'm happy NBC has gone liberal, if just for a jaunt on the wild side. Maybe it was one of those deals like the DOORS pulled on the Ed Sullivan show.... they were told they could not sing "girl we couldn't get much higher"- the band smiled & nodded & told the producers they would (literally) change their tune. The band decided amongst themselves they would NOT. The really big shooooe went on & the original lyrics were sung. The producers were furious & told Jim Morrison & The Doors band members, they would NEVER be on the Ed Sullivan show again. The band smiled and said... we already were. So even if Bright Eyes is probably not going to be on the future invite guest list, and likely whomever was filling in for someone on vacation that week won't be making the decision to air such truth..... he already did. I for one love pure, raw, unedited truth, and like Bob Dylan, this guy's singing voice is not his strong suite, but a wordsmith that provokes such thoughts- a 21st century troubador.
