I am just too fucking outraged to blog much about the latest outrage, i.e., Scooter Libby's prison sentence being commuted by president Bush. I feel so very disgraced and pissed to be an American represented by the assholes leading this nation.
Last week we heard Big Dick cheney refuse to turn over his (public) papers, (our papers!) to the National Archives claiming he was not part of the executive branch.
This after Bush honored the nation's top presidential scholars with his presence at a White House meeting where he urged them to remember it was important to treat others as they would like to be treated!
When presented with a statement signed by 50 of those students which read,
Mr. President.
As members of the presidential scholars class of 2007, we have been told that we represent the best and brightest of our nation. Therefore, we believe we have a responsibility to voice our convictions. We do not want America to represent torture. We urge you to do all in your power to stop violations of the human rights of detainees, to cease illegal renditions and to apply the Geneva Convention to all detainees, including those designated enemy combatants,
Bush, in a moment reminiscent of president Clinton saying, "it depends what the meaning of "is" is, looked the brightest youth of our nation in their eyes and said (--that lying son of a bitch), "America doesn’t torture people." Yep, that's how he responded to the kids. And he had the audacity to repeat his claim again a bit later to those same students. I guess "America doesn't torture people" all depends on what the meaning of "America" is, or "doesn't" or "torture" or "people" is, huh?
And now Scooter Libby "walks" just as the Bush administration, through its sanitation gutter sweeper, attorney general Alberto Gonzales, urges Congress to re-impose mandatory minimum prison sentences against federal convicts!
I know I won't offend any of the few regular readers of this blog, but if any reading this ARE offended by what I'm about to say, you really need to pull your head out of the ass of your president and realize exactly what has gone down the past six and a half years.
And if you're not offended at what's happened to this country under the Bush Reich, you might want to consider psychiatric evaluation.
No, no! You NEED to undergo psychiatric evaluation because you're either brain fucked, or worse, you're brain dead! If the former, there may still be hope for you. If the latter, "Just resume the position!" You're of no further use to any of us--we the living--residing in this sewer of the former United States, now an international embarrassment to just about everyone.

They lock up first time black drug offenders at rates sometimes 57 times higher than they do for whites, and this Constitution shredding cracker gets off.
With the Republican zeal for incarceration, you'd think they'd keep Libby in jail until he molders. But oh...I forgot...he's one of their own.
Can't have that.
F*ckers!
Ahhhh Kvatch... Scooter doesn't even qualify as a cracker....more of something that my cat left in the catbox....a mere turdlett of a "man"...and Bush too...I am sick of the lies, the corruption and the crimes....have fucking had it with the fuckers in the WH....570 days is too damn long..( or however many days it is....)
chickenshit is just scared of what scooty would spill in the pen on the Big Dick and Dubya....
oh Dada....
I was so busy spewing and ranting I forgot to say thank you for your post.....
Love the photo.... the black shadow silhouette with the nation in distress up-side-down flag.
I keep thinking karma will kick in re the Bush camp-- he will be a filthy rich oil tycoon, and then get a horrible disease that can only be cured by stem cells, but Doh! they are not available because he played the morality card & banned stem cell research. I'm guessing his "morality" can be adjusted as needed.
Yes our pro life/ war monger/ decider, has topped all other leaders fucks-ups combined.
I get that fingernails on a chalkboard feeling whenever Bush tries putting a sentence together.
Jail time was too harsh for Scooter? Send all the bastards- Bush, Cheney Condi, Gonzales, Rumsfeld & Scooter to Abu Ghraib.
Amarante can shuffle by my yard anytime, but I have a feeling only those with eyes wide open can see him (he kind of lurks at the edge of the visible universe).
"brain fucked" ... jeez, I haven't been brain-fucked in years, decades. I think it involved mind-altering drugs, but can't quite remember. However, even in my most brain-adled state, I wouldn't have believed what swill so many americans are swallowing (even savoring) today.
Happy fuckin fourth to you too, dada! Throw some scoot-dick-chimp-condi effigies on the barbie before sprinkling with embalming fluid & igniting. They are the walking dead now. Please keep telling us what we need to hear. ~~ D.K.
You're right Dada, it's getting harder and harder to not only believe all this shredding of the Constitution and Declaration of Independence (celebration today with lapel pins and waving the flag with vigor hoping all the bad stuff will disappear) but to write about it. Where is the rage from the populace? Has everyone gone tone deaf with all the drips and drapples of anti-democratic impulses from ShrubCo? Like Enigma, thanks for the rant -- I enjoyed it!
Well, you know, I never intended to write as much as I did on this here.
Later in the day, watching Keith Olberman's *special comment*, I realized all I needed to say to Bush--as Olberman succinctly put it was....
"RESIGN!"
got democracy. We met our new neighbors this afternoon. A mom and her two teenaged children with whom we were very impressed.
We learned that her HS senior son to be had considered the UofO for Fall 2008. Mrs. Dada and I were both going "Ooooh," and "Ahhhh!"
We laughed when mom said she had heard Eugene was a nice place, but full of anarchists.
"Yes," I agreed, "it'd be a fine place to get an education."
Sadly, it's further from home than son wants to be which, when you think about it, might save him doing hard time down the road in the *New America*...where 'anarchists' are more danger to the nation than a Libby, cheney, or Bush.
"Ugh!" indeed.
Dada at UofO? When? What field? I had many friends head off to UofO from SF State in 1968. There were so many SF State students there in International Relations and Government we called it SF State North. LOL!
We should be so lucky as to have true anarchists around, eh?
I keep wondering how much more of this shit the American people will take and they just keep on taking it. I don't know how much more of it I can handle.
PT Cruiser: I think the one thing that's MOST upsetting about all of this is the public's unlimited ability to absorb endless heaps of this shit like they're either helpless to do anything about it or, worse, just brain dead.
Next would be the media who seems to accept this bullshit as just "normal". Like Bush meeting the HS kids mentioned in this blog. Yes, the story is about some that had the balls to stand up and ask their leader to STOP. But his response--an outright lie to them that we don't torture--gets little attention because, apparently, they just accept as "normal" the president will lie like that to any of us...because he CAN and get away with it.
eprof2: No, no, I never did UofO (dang it--I didn't know of it's reputation). It was thru two nieces and a nephew that went there that taught me it's another UCSC, USF, or Berkeley.
No, as I commented to you elsewhere here some place, my first two years were done at a junior college--but a great experience, nonetheless.
U of O ??!! Small world, my son just wrapped up freshman year there. It is our best local college, so it works for us. Funny you should mention Anarchists... what I observe/hear is that the students are saying *if THIS is Democracy (the Bush-shit), then I'd rather have anarchy". But my son, an avid Political Science major, banters with them, because the model they (the anarchists) emulate, is either Socialist or Democratic structures. But you can't blame these kids for feeling revolt against the current government "structure"/ chaos. I kind of wish there was more revolt (non violent) going on.
