Took a break. Went to a war movie.

Is it just me or is there just heaps of shit comin' down the pipe? I missed a lot today, but yet what I caught seemed like way more than the normal day's worth.

No matter how hard I have tried, I can't focus on anything specific. It's all been a bit overwhelming. So earlier today the wife and I went to see a war movie--"Flyboys." It was pure entertainment, but there was one line in the movie where one of 'em says to another how their deaths won't make a bit of difference, nor have any bearing on the final outcome of the war.

That seemed validated by something Bush said recently to Wolf Blitzer re the war in Iraq: "I like to tell people when the final history is written on Iraq, it will look like just a comma because there is — my point is, there's a strong will for democracy."

Speaking of commas, I think we just crossed the 2,700th lost American comma mark in Iraq.

Sadly, Bush's own church is now calling for an Iraq withdrawal as the president continues spewing the same hackneyed non sequiturs as answers to serious questions.

The news can be overwhelming sometimes. You just have to take a break and get your mind clear. As for Bush, each time I hear him, my belly goes to burning!
