Bush elaborating on his failings publicly

I was listening to Elaine Boosler who's subbing on the Stephanie Miller Show this week while Miller's away. She was going over some of the latest president Bush talking points from yesterday and you can tell it must be election time again with the president fixated on terror and 9/11. Here's Bush in his own words from the White House website:

"captured documents show al Qaeda's strategy for infiltrating Muslim nations,....We see this strategy laid out in a captured al Qaeda document found during a recent raid in Iraq, which describes their plans to infiltrate and take over Iraq's western Anbar Province. The document lays out an elaborate al Qaeda governing structure for the region that includes an Education Department, a Social Services Department, a Justice Department, and an 'Execution Unit' responsible for 'Sorting out, Arrest, Murder, and Destruction.'"

I'm really concerned about the president's and his adviser's lucidity, particularly in an election year. I mean, how wise is it for Bush to be pointing out four of al Qaeda's goals for Anbar Province, the same four goals Bush has for all of Iraq, but which Bush and his conservatives have failed at three of miserably?

so funny ... i was just wondering the other day where elaine boosler's been. thanks, now i know she hasn't totally dropped off the radar.

and apparently we no longer have to worry about al qaeda in iraq since pakistan is more-or-less giving them a little corner to call their own (as long as they act civilly in country). such a shame, we poured so much effort into cultivating "general general" (as bush called musharref in his famous pre-election 2000 display of knowledge of foreign leader's names). can you imagine the screaming monkeyfit bush threw upon hearing this news? feces must be dripping down his oval office walls! D.K.

az....I'd say their fear BS is wearing thin, so who knows, they may have to resort to something a little stronger. On the other hand, I never under estimate Americans ability to over estimate their leader's abilities.

Certainly, as time goes on, the odds of something hitting the fan grow greater, especially if Bush can't convince us to where his approval ratings begin to improve.

D.K. Seriously? When Elaine Boosler began substituting for Stephanie Miller on Monday, I was convinced it was really Stephanie's alter-ego just playing tricks on us, they sound just alike.

But then I found myself laughing a little more as the two personalities became ever so clearly, yet subtly distinct. Boosler really has me laughing at times. Of course, I still am in love with Steph Miller. But I'm not sure that's not because of her dogs. She has great dogs.

I wish us'ns here at home had a working education department, social services, and justice.

The Execution Unit we got -- seems to be up and running well.
