On the morning of our drive to Taos, I took this picture a few miles north of Las Cruces. I was struck with a kind of timelessness the landscape seemed to possess. But as the sun broke ever stronger thru the thin clouds overhead, I realized that was illusion. Timelessness surrendered itself to time and in doing so, I glanced down at my watch. It was time to go.

Hi Cass! Thanks for the "Welcome back!" It really is nice to be back online. I had managed to open three new blogs this afternoon, but I didn't like their formats as well as Bloggers here. So glad I didn't have to spend a lot of time setting up something new.
BTW, thanks for the wonderful input of Mike Ferner's Veteran's For Peace experience posted here today. That's some very unsettling stuff!
