From "Capitol Hill Blue"
An unaware President George W. Bush, whose language behind the scenes has always been colorful, said into an open microphone Monday Syria should press Hezbollah to "stop doing this shit."
It's not the first time the unwary President, who claims to be a born-again Christian, has been caught cursing. He called a New York Times reporter a "son of a bitch" to an open mike, told Wall Street Journal reporter Al Hunt "fuck you" in front of his daughters and, in a meeting with members of Congress, called the Constitution "just a goddamned piece of paper." .....
"Like Nixon, Bush's private persona is much different," says retired political scientist George Harleigh, who served in both the Nixon and Reagan administration. "Nixon cursed like a sailor when he was out of public view. So does Bush."
Dada note: Bush's private personna is that of a "fuck you" "shit" "son of a bitch" not worth the "goddamned piece of paper" this is written on. And that latter, said regarding the Constitution, has to be my favorite. Nixon was just a crook.

Hi, Dada; checking in after some Dally-less weeks. RE:"[Hezbollah needing] to stop doing this shit." This reminds me of a day 20 years ago when I, being a newly minted middle manager was ushered into the office of the Big Boss.Big Boss saw that I was in the room and pointedly and loudly complained to one of his directors that a certain agency manager needed to "stop doing that shit." Then he turned to me with a look of self-satisfaction, presumably thinking that I had been impressed with his "real-man" control of his little empire. Of course, you probably can guess that I was not impressed; actually, I thought that his vocabulary was somewhat limited. I have noticed that often when some "manly men" want to exert control over a dispute they try to be the first one to utter a scatological word like "bullshit," or "shit" or make an anotomical reference, like "asshole." That puts the other person on the defensive because who can be in favor of shit, bullshit or assholes? It also establishes the original speaker as a regular guy and not some effete, wuss-type intellectual. We may laugh and cringe at our president talking the way he does but he has probably just scored some points with the yahoos. Sheeeit!

eljoven: good to see you, compadre. Well, you've succeeded in dissuading me. I was going to resort to the lowest of scatological and anatomical references regarding Bush's carefully calculated diplomatic remark to Putin that the people in the US want Russia to promote the sort of democratic institutions that exist in Iraq.
It's this kind of bullsh-----ah, I mean, diplomacy, that ignites provocation instead of invites compromise.
Yes, holy sheeit! Toothless in Texas (from biting the bullet).
