I am the walrus, goo goo g'joob!

In celebration of our UN ambassador John Bolton's brass, that has warned Iran of “painful consequences” if it continues to carry out nuclear activities, I thought I'd dedicate this blog. And from our past experience with Iraq, I think it's pretty easy for every American to imagine what is meant by Bolton's (Bush's) "painful consequences".

THE WALRUS

Mr. city policeman sitting
pretty little policemen in a row
See how they fly like Lucy in the sky
See how they run
I'm crying
I'm crying, I'm crying
Yellow matter custard
Dripping from a dead dog's eye
Crabalocker fishwife
Pornographic priestess
Boy, you've been a naughty girl
you let your knickers down

I am the eggman
They are the eggmen
I am the walrus
Goo goo g' joob

I Am The Walrus
Lennon/McCartney

given the points that others have made regarding the possibility that the Constitution can be further subverted to allow bush to reign beyond his second term by the instigation of more terrible wars, and the willingness of the deputies of the administration to broadcast such intent...it's truly scary to think that the next election, if there is one, will give us a republitard candidate who will continue to carry out those aims...and that people will actually vote for such a moron because that's the campaign message that they'll hear!!!

i have turned into a "yellow dog" (or a dog of any color) independent voter and hope that a maverick like Feingold will consider a run for the office and that his party will attempt to get a message of reason out...just read that he was the only dissenting vote for the Patriot Act, despite the pressure put on him by his own party leadership!

OMG, had a moment of synchronicity this afternoon after visiting Kathleen's blog to join the fray for Russ...the local classic rock station was playing old chestnuts from 1967, including the Byrd's rendition of "My Back Pages"!!!

"ah, but I was so much older then,
I'm younger than that now"

maineiac..."ah, but I was so much older then,

geez, that was a great lyric, wasn't it. I remember, as a young GI, lying awake at night thinking, "What the hell do they mean?"

But I was so much younger than, I'm older than that now.

Ah, e4e, your young man did an excellent job of capturing you! I hope you've learned to live with that kinda strange left shoulder. (Maybe it's lower from always looking over it?)

As a student of Art History, you bear an uncanny resemblence to one of my favorite fems, Venus, by Botticelli. (Oh, oh, I may have said too much. Now anyone with a search engine can view a "full frontal".)

Love the flaming red hair too!

It's easy to get 62% of the primary votes when the only 237 remaining republicans who aren't totally repulsed by Tommy the Felon vote.

Of course, I'm being sarcastic here. But with a total of 4 candidates in the race and DeLay wins w/o so much as a run-off, proves a point I made several years ago about our president. And those speaking of Bush, what follows could be applied to Tommy boy and Texans as well, to wit:

"George Bush is a moron; which probably explains his tremendous popularity with the American public."

Well, can you believe I used to frequent an online political chat room lousy with neocons who just worship anything this a**hole did? I finally quit banging my head against the brick wall. I left for my sanity's sake.

BTW, a**hole doesn't count for the jar, right?

Thanks for noting my son's choice- I thought it was kinda sweet...and amusing...( he did too)...Oh, I dress like Venus ( hehehe).....

Now about that TommyBoy issue...I see...hmmm.
( I guess it won't end until he goes off to be with Bubba)

I am watching the Hapers Mag. Bush Impeachment Forum of March 2nd, on CSPAN right now...chilling...will write on it later...

hmm, about assholes- lordy they are free honey- Enjoy...( remember I said a while back- that I could not penalize our little animal friends ;-)
