If I were a reporter....

....I would ask members of the Bush administration questions that the media don't seem to think of, or aren't curious about. Like today, of Rumsfeld, in Iraq.

Following closely on the heels of Cheney's Iraq visit, I would have wanted to know, "If things are getting so much better we can draw down American troop strength soon, when can you and vice president Cheney and president Bush, and the former Chevron oil tanker, Condoleezza Rice, stop flying into Iraq on 'surprise' unannounced visits to 'surprise' undisclosed sites for stays of 'surprise' unknown periods of time?

"I mean, when can we expect you to make reservations in advance for a room for 3 or 4 days? Say, March 22-25, 2006 in, ah, maybe the downtown Ramadi Ramada?

"I hear spring's the nicest time of year there."
