In a passing note, I'd like to admonish some of the Marshall University students present at a recent women's volleyball match with the University of Texas, El Paso.
One of the members of the UTEP team is a full blooded Native American. During the game, this player had to endure taunts of racial epithets from some in the audience. This is sad, coming from university students.
If stereotyping is permitted, allow Dada to stoop to that level by suggesting those who partook in such "fun" might want to consider withdrawing from the university. Reason? Learning disabled.

I can proudly say that I've been one of the fans who has had the honor to be able to enjoy watching the talents of numerous young athletes on the gym floors.
I can also proudly say that I have never yelled any degrading remarks.
Anyone want to follow one of these student athletes around for a week? Hell, no! I know I couldn't keep up the pace.
Of course, some of the players can hear those obnoxious slurs. Naturally, the person for whom the remark was intended, is usually affected.
That is the whole purpose behind this abismal display of senseless taunting.
Want to bet that whoever is making all of these tasteless, pitiful remarks couldn't or hasn't ever play any type of sports?
I'll bet you my bike against 750 million barrels of crude that none of those so-called "fans" would be worthy enough to wipe any of those athletes' sneakers!
Thanks my "old chum" for your comment. THAT'S what I was trying to say. You just said it better.
