And, yes, (I'm in an agreeable mood today, aren't I?), I also like my girl better.

Today, on our way back from Albuquerque, we once more bypassed the turnoff to Arrey Derry, NM. I've passed it all my life with the intention of one day stopping. (I honestly thought Arrey Derry was the name of one community and, as a result, that there was some mischief when naming it. But I have just learned--thanks to your comment--that Arrey and Derry are two separate communities about 5 miles apart, which suggest perhaps some duplicitous mischief between these two communities in the past.

And to think, it all may be because of a fascination I have with a photo you deem better than ZZ Top's. One that I've held for years in high regard based solely on one particular aspect of the girl in the photo--her derrière!Dadahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17257598218959429347noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13779951.post-1162781144495792082006-11-05T19:45:00.000-07:002006-11-05T19:45:00.000-07:00Neat picture; that sweet car looks a lot like Elim...Neat picture; that sweet car looks a lot like Eliminator from the ZZ Top videos back in the eighties. Then I remembered I have a copy of "Monstrous American Car Spotters Guide" book. So I looked it up. Wow, quite a car. The book says, "F-85 without side chrome starts at $2783." Now I'm sitting here trying to imagine it in Cherry red.Dadahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17257598218959429347noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13779951.post-1162593376687873672006-11-03T15:36:00.000-07:002006-11-03T15:36:00.000-07:00nice work!!!! thanks for sharing...nice work!!!! thanks for sharing...azgoddesshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15190285114417409204noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13779951.post-1162453988081418182006-11-02T00:53:00.000-07:002006-11-02T00:53:00.000-07:00hmmm, I like the way the billowing hemline of her ...hmmm, I like the way the billowing hemline of her dress is repeated in the wavy, flowing (fender? -- there doesn't appear to be a fender) bottom of the car. Plus you force the viewer to follow the girl's eye looking away from the gorgeous car that first grabs you, on toward the incredible skyline. The Long Way Home! If it results in good thoughts like these, how DO we get back? ~~ D.K.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13779951.post-1162450358229589832006-11-01T23:52:00.000-07:002006-11-01T23:52:00.000-07:00sigh...what a wonderful picture...wow- you are tal...sigh...what a wonderful picture...wow- you are talented...I love the car ....reminds me of my first car- 66 Old Cutless- Cherry red....such a beauty...sigh..still miss that car- even though it was not running more than not....enigma4everhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06589997090173140019noreply@blogger.com
